About the event

Urban American Outdoors is excited to host our Urban Kids Fishing Derby in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, June 4, 2022, in partnership with DC Department of Parks and Recreation. This event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Southwest Duck Pond and it’s FREE. There will be 4 time slots (10 a.m. – 11 a.m. | 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. | 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. |1 p.m. – 2 p.m.) and there will be 20 kids allowed per time slot. What Do I Need To Bring?

We recommend that you bring your hand wipes/hand sanitizer, bucket or stringer, lawn chair, and extra bait. We will provide a loaner fishing rod for those families in need (first come, first serve — limited fishing rods available).
