Urban American Outdoors is excited to host our Urban Kids Fishing Derby in Kansas City, MO, and will honor the late Carl R. Price Jr. This event is on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon at Spring Valley Park near the Pond and it’s FREE. There will be a $100 grand prize. Is there a fee to attend?

This event is free to attend.

Limited Space

Space is limited – 200 kids max. *ALERT* Register today! Note: Students must have parent or guardian permission in order to participate. We welcome youth ages 4 to 16. Please fill out the registration form below to reserve your spot today.

What Do I Need To Bring?

We recommend that you bring your own fishing rod, bucket or stringer, lawn chair, and bait. Unfortunately, we will NOT provide loaner fishing rods this year.
