The second stop on the Urban Kids Fish National Tour created by Urban American Outdoors TV was in Kansas City, Kansas at the Kansas City Kansas Community College. This marks the 11th year of the Urban Kids Fishing Derby KCK and over 700 families, partners and volunteers came out to enjoy the event on Saturday, May 21st.
Wayne Hubbard and Candice Price, the creators of the Urban Kids Fishing Derby, paid tribute to the late Mary Ann Flunder. Ms. Flunder was on the Board of Trustees at the Kansas City Kansas Community College and had been a major supporter of the fishing derby since it’s inception and assisted them in securing the location.
Our biggest catch $100 prize winner is Alzarrien A. His fish weighed 5lbs.
Our smallest catch winner is Alex C.
