Born in Topeka, Kansas, Carl dedicated his career to uplifting youth and strengthening his community—whether as a teacher in the Kansas City Missouri School District, a mentor through his pioneering Financial Aid Consulting Tutoring Service (F.A.C.T.S.), or a leader in local and national service organizations.

A proud graduate of Lincoln University, Carl believed deeply in the power of education and opportunity.
